With the blog of Team Beaglebratz being a pet blog, I couldn't let this article I found get away - I realize that the search dogs used at Ground Zero were and are more than just pets but even our own dogs are hero's in someone's eye - worth the time to read this->
The 9/11 Rescue Dogs: Portraits of those still living
The mom here. Even now, when I see the television specials replayed again and again, it is like seeing it for the first time all over again- the shock, horror and disbelief that something this horrendous had happened on our shore. I pray it will never happen again.

We remember too and we salute the brave rescue dogs too. Have a terrific Tuesday.

We will never forget that day. No words can describe it...or the aftermath!
ReplyDeleteEven now, it is difficult to express how emotional that day/period of time was. Thinking of everyone affected by this tragedy, every day, especially today.

ReplyDeleteFinally getting around to playing catch-up since returning home from our trip.... ;)
I cringe with emotion every time I see images of the World Trade Center under attack. Still. Eleven years later.
I have Alan Jackson's "Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning)" playing within my head as these words are being typed. Wonderful, heartfelt song. You should listen to it.
I was 17 when Tuesday, September 11th, 2001 occurred. I reside thousands of miles away from where the attacks took place. Today and always, I refuse to forget.
Love, Raelyn.... And Rose, my BEAUTIFULLY UNIQUE "Mystery Dog"!!
We remember too. I remember waiting to hear if my friend in the Pentagon was safe - she was - and worrying for days about the women I know in FDNY. Thankfully, they too survived, but it's still an emotional day for me.
ReplyDeleteWe are remembering today too... lovely tribute!
