The best laid plans ....(Mom Kim)

I keep telling myself that when things finally fall into a routine then I will do more blog hops.
STILL WAITING!!!!!!!!!

This Friday, 9/14, Lady Shasta is scheduled to
have a lump removed from her tummy-

For several months it was just there - no changes.
I was doing a watch & wait since she was eating really good &
her behavior didn't change.
In the past few days the lump has changed - bigger but
nothing else about her has changed.
There is a small part of me that
wants to send it off for pathology however
it won't change my treatment plans for her even tho
her vet is pretty sure it is a Mast Cell Tumor.
Lady Shasta will be 12 years old in less than a month and
I'm just going to bring her home to enjoy her life
the only way she has known for years.
I have very vivid bad memories of forcing meds down
Angel Shiloh after he stopped eating most everything I tried-
I didn't know a dog that was so sick and so thin could
struggle so hard.
I won't do that to Lady Shasta - she doesn't deserve that.

Please send prayers and POTP for my Lady.
~Mom Kim~

  4. We hope Lady Shasta does well. I have several lumps on me in various spots. My vet thinks they are lipomas which are totally benign. No need to remove them unless they get too big. Has your vet ruled out this type of tumor?
