FLASHBACK FRIDAY WITH ANGEL SHILOH

Mom Kim here-
I think it will always be impossible for me to
really believe that
my Shiloh is an angel at the
Rainbow Bridge
(from a longtime friend in a Beagle online group
who "met" Shiloh when he joined my furmily,
thank you Joanie.)

I don't know how often I will be doing posts like this but
I think I owe it to Angel Shiloh that
he continue to be a part of the
Team Beaglebratz blog.
Someone helped me remember just how much I owe him-
Angel Prudence's mom over at
has made a return to Blogville after
a long absence following the journey of her
Angel Prudence to the Rainbow Bridge
this past October.

So much of what I do now in the dog world would not
be happening if Shiloh had not become a part of my
furmily back in 2003-
a puppy named Shiloh meets Oreo(YorkiPoo)

It was just 3 short years later when
an older Shiloh would meet a puppy himself, named Shasta.
It was because of Shiloh,
who already had turned into a great companion and
therapy dog
This was the picture for our first Pet Partners Badge.
We visited at Midland Hospice.

Prior to that, in 2004,
when Shiloh was just 19 months old,
he earned his Canine Good Citizen award-

When he was five years old, Shiloh became a
Reading Education Assistance Dog

Due to having been evaluated with his Halti for control reasons,
he had to wear it at all sessions - as he mellowed, the Halti
became a thing of the past - WHEW!

It was because of all that I had been able to
accomplish with Shiloh,
that Lady Shasta,
whose doggy mom was Shiloh's littermate,
joined my furmily.

Here is a picture of Shiloh getting his blessing
at Blessing of the Animals-

This last group of pictures for this edition of
Flashback Friday with Angel Shiloh is from
another activity that was a first for me because of Shiloh,
Paws In The Park,
an annual fundraiser for our local humane shelter-

This picture was of me and Shiloh in the kissing contest - nope, didn't win

Now this next picture is from our routine we did for
Best Pet Trick - Shiloh would sit pretty, twirl on his hind legs, crawl, lay down and roll over.
We have THREE wins-three different years, from this contest-

Shiloh had to show off his
first place medal for Best Pet Trick-
One year when Shiloh won,
they gave away trophies for first place
for Best Pet Trick.

We even got to meet
 McGruff, the crime dog-

That's all for this edition of
Flashback Friday with Angel Shiloh

#ChewyInfluencer helps me find a way to a Tasty Tuesday

(NOTE from mom Kim - before Lady Shasta continues with this review, I would like to give a huge shout-out to Sydney at Chewy.com  I was having some problems with the DELIVERY of ANYTHING from ANYWHERE - I even got a package that was NOT mine or Lady Shasta's. All I had to do was let Sydney know and she just kept trying until the delivery man got it right. This was suppose to be for May but thanks to the delivery people, we got it the first week of June - NOT A CHEWY.COM ISSUE!)

Now on tue the next one.
While I git bizy with the rest of'em-
my mm iz gonna talk tue u 'boutz this
this super fun toy. Oh by the way-
I give this neeto-sweeto doggy toy-
FOUR PAWZ UP!

Mom Kim here - When I saw this toy being offered in Chewy.com's latest list of great choices for product reviews, I had to jump on it.  Ever since Angel Shiloh left us for the Rainbow Bridge this past March, I have been on the look-out for toys that would help Lady Shasta stay active and keep her mind busy - this fit the bill perfectly and also reward her for her problem solving behavior. And I like how easy it is to keep clean - just run water to make sure all areas are cleaned then let air dry.

First Lady Shasta used her nose and mouth to remove the four yellow cups to find the treats hidden underneath them then using her nose again she pushes the blue spinning top around to find the treats hidden in each of the other four compartments.  Here is the list of key benefits shown on Chewy.com's website for this Outward Hound interactive dog toy-
  • Interactive, treat-seeking doggy fun
  • Keeps your pup playing longer
  • 4 treat-hiding cups
  • 8 treat chambers
  • Adjustable difficulty knob on bottom
  • Made with durable food-safe plastic
  • BPA, PVC, & phthalate free
I had forgotten about how you can adjust the spinning difficulty - I was happy to see that since Lady Shasta managed to spin it quite easily to get to the remaining treats. Overall - I am quite happy with this Outward Hound Interactive dog toy.
