Lady Shasta here agin-
Gonna turn over MY blog tue
my mom fer a breef post'bout
this skrawny, hyper pup runnin'around here,
alwayz tryin'tue git in my face.
Ok mom - if u must due this then take it away---
Thank you Lady Shasta.
It all started around 4/20/17 when I was looking at a
puppy at a rescue down around the Missouri Ozarks so
I contacted them. I was told they had just approved an
adoption application for this puppy earlier that day but
if I wanted to apply as a backup they would send me
the application. I did apply and sent it back but
the other adoption was completed and
that puppy went to a different home.
While I was waiting to hear about the outcome of this puppy,
I heard from Ms. Flea on Facebook about
helping to rehome an older female Beagle puppy.
She shared some info about her and some pics-
I was hooked - I especially liked her face markings-
The family who had her had named her Lucy-
while I like that name for a dog, once I had made the
decision to adopt her then I also made the decision to
rename her - Maizie - I was looking for something that
was easy for me to pronounce and enunciate due to my
speech impediment.
By the way, her official gotcha day from now on
will be May 1st - how easy will that be to remember?
She was born 8/16/16.
Anyway, if I want to, she can be registered-
the family sent her puppy papers from the AKC.
She is also spayed as well as up-to-date on her shots.
The family sent her food, treats and all of her toys.
Just some of her toys plus she was
checking out the toy box.
"Hey Lady Shasta - what u bin eatin?"
I got her metal crate and bedding, brushes,
food dishes and her vet records that
I will give to my vet when he meets her next week.
Already I have a fav pic of Maizie-
These 2 can be bigefied
and also come in a close 2nd for favs.
Ok - getting late here and I want to get this post scheduled to post as part of the
Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.
Because I am extremely thankful that all the
circumstances surrounding Maizie coming to live here-
they all just seemed to fall into place.
I had given much thought previously to adopting an older puppy;I had given much thought to adopting a puppy that really needed a new home - the family had 2 children, the youngest a petite 5 yr old who didn't need the rambunctious antics of a Beagle puppy;
when Ms Flea and us met up at Buffalo, KS we both got there at the same time.
Most of all I want to thank my sis-
without her I would not have been able to get to Buffalo to bring Miss Maizie home.
By the way, if you have any other questions, just leave
them here and I will do my best to get them answered.
