Thank you for your long comment on Humphrey's gift. It also works with humans. My stepfather was in a nursing home and they knew he was dying. He was unconscious--but he did not let go of life until my mother arrived and told him that it was okay to go, that she would be all right. Then he passed. His children were there and saw it. I held onto Humphrey as long as I could but when he said it was time, it was okay to let go, I did.
