A bit of an update on a late THANKFUL THURSDAY (and notes from the Beaglebratz)

My vision is slowly improving, in fact it had started improving a little when I wrote that last blog post however I was still waiting to hear what the next step would be as far as doctor appointments – I have a doctor appointment with my specialist next Tuesday, 12/9.  The specialist also wanted me to increase the anti-rejection eyedrop – which means he could see the possibility of rejection just in the pictures  my local doc sent him. (in case anyone reading this post missed my prior post then click HERE which will bring you up to speed – basically it’s the same old-same old stuff).  Me and sis were kinda hoping for an appointment at the specialist’s office in Overland Park (suburb of Kansas City) and maybe do a little Christmas shopping but we are going there this Friday (12/5) anyway so I can spend my birthday doing one of my fav pastimes – SHOPPING! (most fav are the Beaglebratz of course)  Anyway, now – just more waiting however now the wait is to see what happens between now and the appointment time.  As I said in my prior post, my ultimate dream/wish, at least where my eye/vision is concerned, is TOTAL healing and vision improves GREATLY from the recent (3/2013) stem cell transplant.  HOWEVER, the more realistic part of me (which includes some medical knowledge of my eye condition) also anticipates my specialist bringing up the topic of the NEXT procedure – like how soon to do it since this e.ye/vision flare-up seems to be happening more often.

Anyway, I do want to thank you all for your healing thoughts and concern, POTP, prayers and purrayers - THEY ARE WORKING - 
and PLEASE keep them coming.  Now the Beaglebratz havr a

When mom FINALLY let us inspect it,

TUE-DAY, FRIDAY 10/3,

Crikey am I crook.  Dad took me for an early morning walk this morning and it rained … BIG TIME.  Now I hate the rain and normally I would find the nearest shelter and hide but not this morning.  Dad took shelter under his mate,  Bruno’s big verandah.  Boy do I wish I had too. Anyway it turns out that Bruno,  a fisherman,  had been out on his boat all day yesterday and last night had a few of his mates over for a barby and one of his mates fancied himself as a bit of a Chef. He had a new recipe he wanted to try. It was an Asian type recipe.  You know …. Full of chilli and garlic and sauce and stuff.   Cooked up a storm,   he did,  in a big Chinese wok and after a big feed and a few beers (well probably a lot really) decided that the cleanup was a bit much so Bruno put the remains of the feast in the wok and left it outside all night.  Yeah … you guessed it … I found it and while Bruno was telling Dad all about his great night I was busy cleaning the wok for him.  Was it ever good!  That wok had never looked so clean.  Anyway it finally stopped raining and Dad and I continued on our merry way.  Dad did see what I had been up to but didn’t really take too much notice.  Well he didn’t yell or anything!!   You think that would be it but no … when we got home Mum was all dressed ready to go out for a big Sunday Brekky so off they both went leaving me at home.  They weren’t going to be gone for all that long so instead of locking me in my crate,  as they usually do,  they thought they would give me a try in the house again.  I have been getting better and not being so distressed when they go out. They were only gone a short while and I started to feel a bit crook.  Talk about tummy pains … oh! My.  I tried to get outside but every door was shut tight.  Did I ever feel bad but what could I do???   First I spewed up on the rug in the family room.  BIG TIME!!!  Then I went to Mum and Dad’s bedroom … not so big!!!!  Then I went to the spare room … pretty big!!  Last of all the study … not much left!!!   Oh!  The relief.   Felt a lot better after all  that spewing.   Didn’t feel so good when Mum and Dad got home though.  Dad mightn’t have yelled at me this morning but boy he sure made up for it when he discovered the mess.  I must say it didn’t smell too good.  All fishy and oily … yuk!!  I got no sympathy.  Just got thrown outside while they tried to clean up. They were most upset cause most of the house is tiled and the only places I threw up were the carpeted areas.  How was I to know that tiles are easier to clean than carpet?   Carpet looks like grass to me so I thought that would be best.  Who knew!!  What do they expect …. Next time I’m crook I’ll just throw up in that toilet thing.  That’ll fix em.  They won’t even know I’m crook. Maybe that’s not such a good idea though cause after Mum finished cleaning everything she did come outside and give me big hugs and kisses and she rubbed my poor sore tummy for such a long time.  I love my Mum!!!!!!   She is just the best.

So remember…  if you ever see one of those wok thingies ….. leave it  alone, aye??  Believe me it’s not worth it.

This story happened a few yearz ago – when I, Diva Shasta, ferst joined Team Beaglebratz.  I wuz a mere babe an’I had not yet come  in-tue my diva-ness altho the Beagletude wuz hidin'just under my skin.

I didn't know that the lady takin'MY pikchure that day wood soon b my hoomin mom-

Ok - now u may all say Awwwwww

Now in my short life, of course I grew up with my litter mates BUTT there wuz a few older woofiez around tue so I KINDA knew what tue x-pect when I got tue my new home an’found out I HAD A BIG BRUTHER!  It wuz all good – we had lotza fun.  Hiz name iz Shiloh an’at timez he kinda thinkz he iz a little bit all that an’then sum BUTT that wuz ok – I wuz gonna b gittin’sum of that tue.  I soon found out that I had joined the family’boutz Christmas time which iza speshal time of year – not just fer hoominz BUTT fer us woofiez tue (butt I didn’t really know that much’boutz this time called Christmas – yet)  So fer awhile, my life went on just fine – me’an Shiloh were gittin’along good an’it wuz kinda nice havin’anuther woofie in the house who wood

watch out fer me . . . or so I thought.

I mean – don’t git me wrong – I had my bad momentz tue – after all, I had bin ripped away frum my doggy mom at such a young age … an’my litter matez an’all the other woofiez I had grown up with.  THEN it happened . . ."Just when I thought things couldn't get worse . . ."

 

I don't haf any pikchurez of the akchual insident-

which iz probably a good thing-

it really did happen on my FERST CHRISTMAS mornin'
I had MY Christmas stockin'an'Shiloh had
HIZ Christmas stockin'an-
we wuz both gittin'bizy lookin'at
all that wuz in them - toyz an'treatz-
an'that wuz the problem-
one of thoze treatz fell out of MY stockin'
I thought - no problem, I'll just wander over an'git it.

Wellllll - there WUZ a problem-
a BIG BRUTHER of a problem!
We got tue MY treat frum MY stockin'at the same time-
only Shiloh thought it wuz HIZ treat.
(interjection from mom - this was the ONLY time something like this has EVER happened)
The main thing at that point that I, baby Shasta r'memberz-
Shiloh gave me a little nip on the ear tue
chase me away frum MY treat so he cood
make it HIZ treat. 
It all happened so fast-
Mom can't really r'member if I yelped.
BUTT rite then mom'z nephew stopped by tue
take us all tue her sis's place fer the rest of Christmas Day.

Ok - so we iz all dun gittin'our prezziez an'relaxin'on the sofa-
only I wuz feelin'kinda strange inside an'my ear wuz
kinda hurtin'a bit where Shiloh had nipped me BUTT
it wuz NOT oozin'any BLOOD

(again from mom - but it was oozing some ????)
ANYWAYZ - we wuz off tue the dogtor-
ON MY FERST CHRISTMAS DAY!
This iz what I looked like after I gotz A stitch in my ear-
also gotz sum feel better medicine.
