When I read this story on LSofitA I was heartbroken... those poor babies, and that poor family trying to make a difference in the lives of dachshunds.
I left a message for WHN saying we would help in any way possible. I will run along back over there and see if there are any updates to the comment.

So very sad. I'll head over right now.

Pee.s. Hey I started The Blogville Chronicle and we are having a give-away in case your interested!
We read about this tragedy on Doxies With Moxie and our hearts are so sore. Thank you for telling us about the chip-in; we hadn't seen that.
You guys sure have been busy. That looked like a wonderful therapy dog picnic, with all kinds and sizes of therapy doggies.

Dearest friends,
It so hard to understand when something happens like this. It upsets Mommy when people are so rude to others. Thanks for the Chip In info. ATDR is collecting funds from all our volunteers for the familt. We just we could do more. It would be tragic if they quit their rescuing.
