From the mom - this hit me really hard. For those who don't know Wilf, he is a Polish Lowland Sheepdog - I saw his picture over at Wilf the PON Discovers France and he looks like such a sweetheart. Earlier this year(May), his brother Digby, also a PON, lost his battle with piroplasmosis - a disease transmitted by some species of tick. It seems to be most common in horses, donkeys and zebras but when I Googled it, I did find 1 article relating to dogs.
Wilf's parents just found out that Wilf has developed a fast growing tumor - Wilf has maybe just days to live. As I am typing this, I am so close to tears as I think of my own two. PLEASE stop by Wilf's blog to leave your message for his parents. I just cannot even imagine in my most bizarre nightmares, the pain and hurt they must be feeling right now.
And give your own furkid(s) an extra hug and kiss before bed tonight.

Yep, I've been pretty upset all day about Wilf. I've loved seeing all the excitement in his eyes.
We has gone by to offer our support. I remember very vividy their Digby. We went by everyday to check on them and it was heartbreaking when he left to go to da bridge.
It just seems so unfairs furs them to be goin' through dis again and so soon.

So very sad for Wilf and his family - too much for one family to have to bear. We hope that they all can find a way to enjoy what time Wilf has left and we hope it is for a good long time.

We are so sad about Wilf's prognosis. Sometimes life really isn't fair.
