Please can Shiloh get some POTP?

First, I want to thank WHN and Miss Tasha from Dachsies With Moxie for posting this earlier- I didn't have time before I left for work this morning.

Now then, I'm afraid Shiloh, for the most part, is no better.  When he practically turned tail and walked AWAY, rather quickly, when I fed him his breakfast, I suspected something a bit more serious than eating the wrong thing.  At least when I got home he had only upchucked twice in a bit more than 8 hours compared to 3 times last evening a little over 3 hours.  He did drink some for me earlier this eve but he did NOT eat dinner or the rice and turkey broth I offered.

I happened to mention on my Facebook wall that before this all started, Shiloh had been licking his fuzzy dog bed rather forcefully (didn't tear it or anything) but really licked it hard - the bed is now outside, away from where Shiloh can get to it. Stephanie Lilley as in River's mom from
Down River reminded me that Shiloh could have ended up with something like a hairball and it could be obstructing his intestines.  I have been firmly pressing on different areas of his tummy and along the side but nothing seemed to bother him and no tummy grumblies-rumblies. IF Shiloh is NOT eating AGAIN in the morning, I WILL call the vet AND Shiloh will get there somehow.  And, altho I hope and pray Shiloh does NOT need their services tonite, I remembered there is an ER vet just about a block away.

Ok, so that is it for now - I need to go get some work done.

Oh, poor Shiloh. Let him no he's in our thoughts. It's no good when a beagle doesn't want food. Here's hoping he's stealing Diva Shasta's food by the morning! (Not that he could do that successfully...but you know what I mean.)

We are still praying our paws off for our BFF Shiloh!

Amber Da Weenie's Mom left this comment- maybe it will help- "When someone here has an upset tummy, we usually try Famotidine first. If that doesn't relieve the symptoms after 24 hours, (or they get worse) we head to the vet to check for pancreatitis."

Shiloh we hope you are better today. I had the same type of sicky icky twice and Pippinpumpkin three times in the last three months or so. Antibiotics and chicken n rice sorted it out. We hope it is just a bug which can be easily treated.Paws crossed. Have a peaceful Tuesday.

It sounds like he needs an X-ray and possibly an ultrasound. I don't want to alarm you too much, but an intestinal blockage is what killed Mango. He had a lot of the same symptoms and he also did not respond badly when my husband or I pushed on his tummy, but I think he was just being brave. Get Shiloh to the vet today. I'll be thinking of both of you.

Still sending lots of prayers to Shiloh. I read Dexter's Mom's comment and she's right. If it's an intestinal blockage, he needs medical care quickly. That happened to our very old Doxie, Bart, back in 2003. It didn't end very well.

Please give Shiloh lots of hugs from us.
